Can TheraSpecs make looking at screens more comfortable?

If screen light bothers you, whether it is from a computer, phone, or television, there are several TheraSpecs lens options that can help you manage the problematic wavelengths.

Flex: If you are simply looking for a great pair of computer or screen glasses, we recommend Flex because it targets harsh light between 480-520nm with a lightly-tinted peach-colored lens. Flex may also help people living with mild symptoms of light sensitivity, headaches and eyestrain, as part of a light management plan.

FL-Pro and FL-Blend: If you are living with more intense light sensitivity and/or have a light-sensitive condition like migraine or post-concussion syndrome, we recommend trying FL-Pro for your screen use as part of your light management strategy. FL-Pro provides the strongest protection against artificial light; FL-Blend is another option to consider—it targets the same irritating light, but trades some protection for a more subtle tint.

Contrast HEV: If screen time leads to eye strain or other discomfort and/or if it makes it hard for your eyes to focus, we recommend Contrast HEV as part of a light management plan. By filtering the wavelengths that our eyes don’t focus well, it may help improve visual contrast and comfort.

Sleep: We recommend wearing our Sleep lens 2-3 hours before bed, so that you can remove all blue light below 550nm, which may support healthy sleep cycles.

Our lens assistant will be able to walk through the best options for you in managing screen light. And if you need reading glasses or a prescription to make it easier to use your devices, we'd be happy to make you a pair of readers or prescription TheraSpecs in any of our specialty tints.
