Can TheraSpecs make looking at screens more comfortable?

If screen light bothers you, whether it is from a computer, phone, or television, there are several TheraSpecs lens options that can help you manage the problematic wavelengths.

  • Flex: If you are simply looking for a great pair of computer or screen glasses, we recommend Flex because it targets harsh light between 480-520nm with a lightly-tinted lens. Our Flex lens features two options: Peach and Lavender. Flex Peach is generally the best choice for most people, and Flex Lavender trades some protection for an even more subtle tint. Flex can be a great addition to your light management plan, especially if you are mildly sensitive to light.
  • FL-Pro and FL-Blend: We recommend these lenses for screen use for people who are more sensitive to light. By filtering out problematic light from screens, FL-Pro and FL-Blend may help people to live well with migraine, as part of an overall light management plan. TheraSpecs FL-Pro filters more problematic screen light than FL-Blend, offering comprehensive protection; TheraSpecs FL-Blend features a more subtle tint that exchanges some protection for a softer visual experience.
  • Contrast HEV: If screen time leads to visual discomfort and/or if it makes it hard for your eyes to focus, we recommend Contrast HEV as part of a light management plan. By filtering the wavelengths that our eyes don’t focus well, it may help improve visual contrast and comfort.
  • Sleep: We recommend wearing our Sleep lens 2-3 hours before bed if you need to use your devices, so that you can remove all blue light below 550nm, which may support healthy sleep cycles.

Our lens assistant will be able to walk through the best options for you in managing screen light. And if you need reading glasses or a prescription to make it easier to use your devices, we'd be happy to make you a pair of readers or prescription TheraSpecs in any of our specialty tints.
