What is pupillary distance?
Looking forward, pupillary distance (or PD for short) is the distance between the centers of each pupil. PD is either listed as one bigger number (e.g. 60mm) or as two smaller numbers, one for each eye (e.g. 28mm / 32mm).
While PD isn't always on prescriptions, it's part of your medical record and is a measurement all eye doctors make.
If your prescription doesn’t list your PD, then contact your eye doctor and tell them you need it for specialty, light-filtering lenses.
