Where did FL-41 come from?
FL-41 was developed in the late 1980s/early 1990s by researchers trying to address the negative impacts of fluorescent light on many people.
While their initial published study focused on the lenses' effects on children with migraine, they quickly discovered that the wavelengths it filtered (480-520nm) soothed adults, too.
30 years later, TheraSpecs is the leading brand of FL-41 glasses, providing relief to people with migraine and photophobia all over the globe! Unlike other FL-41 glasses, TheraSpecs lenses are measured to verify that they block the right amount of the most problematic wavelengths.
Each of our styles were similarly designed to maximize comfort and relief through lightweight materials and adjustable frames. Browse them today, or send in your own frames to fit with our specialty lenses!
