Are TheraSpecs suitable for driving?
For driving at night, the only TheraSpecs that are suitable are Contrast HEV and Flex*.
According to a standardized test, some other tints can interfere with the color of traffic signals. Because of this, in some places they are not suitable for driving any time of day.
Here’s a list by location:
- United States: FL-Pro Max, Z-Blue Max, Sleep, and FL-Sun UltraDark+
- European Union: FL-Pro Max, Z-Blue Extra, Z-Blue Max, Sleep, and FL-Sun UltraDark+
- Australia & New Zealand: FL-Pro Extra, FL-Pro Max, Z-Blue Extra, Z-Blue Max, Sleep, and FL-Sun UltraDark+
*TheraSpecs Flex transmits approximately 82% of all light and Contrast HEV transmits approximately 90% of all light, making them compliant with traffic laws in most places for night driving. However, users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with all applicable traffic regulations and that road lighting is sufficient for safe use. Always drive responsibly and remain attentive to the road and lighting conditions, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
