Are TheraSpecs suitable for driving?

For driving at night, the only TheraSpecs that are suitable are Contrast HEV and Flex*.

Most of our lenses can be worn for driving during the day, including FL-Sun in Dark+ strength.

However, according to a standardized test, some tints can interfere with the color of traffic signals and, as such, in some places they are not suitable for driving any time of day.

Here’s a list by location:

• United States: FL-Pro Max strength, Z-Blue Max strength, Sleep, and FL-Sun UltraDark+ strength
• European Union: FL-Pro Max strength, Z-Blue Extra strength, Z-Blue Max strength, Sleep, and FL-Sun UltraDark+ strength
• Australia & New Zealand: FL-Pro Extra strength, FL-Pro Max strength, Z-Blue Extra strength, Z-Blue Max strength, Sleep, and FL-Sun UltraDark+ strength

*TheraSpecs Flex transmits approximately 82% of all light and Contrast HEV transmits approximately 90% of all light, making them compliant with traffic laws in most places for night driving. However, users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with all applicable traffic regulations and that road lighting is sufficient for safe use. Always drive responsibly and remain attentive to the road and lighting conditions, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
